God is Protector!

Psalm 46:1
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."

This weekend, we are exploring the Nature of God as our Protector!  Knowing we can count on God, brings peace!  We realize that in this life, there will be hard things, and learning to trust in God's protection, allows us to move through them with confidence in His ability!

Trusting God in this is SO important to Him, that He reminds us of His desire and ability to Protect numerous times in His Word (the Bible):  

Psalm 23:1-4 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures.  He leads me beside still waters.  He restores my soul.  He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.  Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Isaiah 41:10  Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.  Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.  I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Isaiah 54:17  But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!

Psalm 91:1-3  He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."  For He will deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

Psalm 121:7-8 The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

2 Timothy 4:18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together[a] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

There is a story of a Man who thought God would Save him.  May we be people who recognize God's protection, and be quick to offer gratitude and praise!!

Jungle Safari...Exploring the Nature of God!

Are you ready to Explore the Nature of God?

This month, we go on Safari with God...learning more About Him as we spend more time With Him!  

Psalm 24:1

Week 1 (Jan 3-4, 2015), we experience the amazing world God made.  Plants, animals, people - all special, unique, and loved by God.  But WE were His masterpiece!  

Psalm 54:4

Week 2 (Jan 10-11, 2015), we discover that God provides everything we really need - and SO much more!  We can count on God to give us what we need - and we can freely share what we've been given!  

Psalm 46:1

Week 3 (Jan 17-18, 2015), we discover that God is Always with us, even when things are hard.  We may never face a den full of lions, but we can ALWAYS count on God to protect us!

Psalm 25:5

Week 4 (Jan 24-25, 2015) we discover that God loves us SO much that He gave His Son for us.  Jesus died so that we can be forgiven, set free!  No matter how hard life seems, we can Always have hope because God saves us.  Jesus' death was only the beginning of the life we can have through Him.

Psalm 47:7

Week 5 (Jan 31-Feb 1, 2015), we discover that God is All-Powerful, ruling forever over Heaven and earth.  We can count on His power and love, and can serve Him with the hope and promise of spending eternity in Heaven.  God can use His power to do anything He wants, and what He wants Most is to be with us!  What an Awesome God we serve!
